This is my new work table, which I have graciously agreed to share with my husband, Ron, in order to repurpose my former home office area, which is now in the process of being converted to a walk-in closet. Agreeing to share meant I had to give up one of my beautiful 24-inch Dell displays because there simply wasn't enough room on the table for both of them and both of us. :: sigh :: It's not so bad. At least Ron and I get to spend more time together now
Since this pic was taken all the cables and wires have been made virtually invisible and strapped to the rear frame of the table. Can't really see them now under the frosted glass. And of course we had to get mousepads to use our optical mice on the glass table.
On the left is my area: 24-inch Dell, Matias OS X Keyboard, Black Aluminum PowerCube, 500GB Western Digital MyBook Firewire HD (several more are on the shelf that you can't see on the wall above the desk) with an 80GB OWC Mercury On-The-Go portable Firewire HD (travels with me everywhere because it stores my Entourage database).
On the right side is Ron's area: old Toshiba laptop he needs for certain work-related tasks. Underneath the laptop is his G4 Mac mini which sits on top of a Belkin Flip for Mac mini KVM switch (which we love), he's got the 20-inch widescreen Dell display (i brought my other 24-inch to my office), the same Matias keyboard and an M-Audio FastTrack USB used with Garageband.
What you can't really see off to the right of the desk is his big-ass Hartke bass amp and a small Fender guitar amp, along with 2 bass guitars, one electric guitar and one acoustic guitar - and a little further away is the 42-inch plasma sitting on a new media console across from our very comfy couch
