The upgrade from OWC will take no more than two or three days to Germany, FedEx. It's incredibly quick.

i'd vote for at least a gig of ram for the puppy.. it just makes cubes so happy to have that extra memory.

I don't think they are worse. FedEx is probably just bigger than UPS.
(my worst experience has been with Cube & FedEx related with a big fight for 3 months to cover my claim - still have nightmares icerabbit -------------------- G4 500Mhz Cube - Geforce2 - 1024MB - WD100GB/8MB - CDRW -17"StudioDisplay - OSX10.2.8

Congratulations, Angel!
You remind me of how happy I was when I finally found my perfect Cube. Here is the poem I wrote the day I bought my Cube way back in 2002: Cube, glorious Cube! Never a Mac so dear I've wanted you so long! Although you're still far away, FedEx brings you near You finally became mine today. I don't care what they say 450mhz is not so wrong! And so, dear Cube, we both see clear I'll give you a Cinema Display. |

Never had a problem with both of them. But ... you should have your goods by now? And please follow the suggestions of all the others: More RAM is something you won't regret. 512 MB happens for some 83 Euros these days at ebay (Germany). -------------------- tallturtle

lol, why is everybody telling me of upgrading my cube's RAM to at least 512MB?
in the describtion at ebay is written that it already has 576MB But I wanna try to put 2GB in it (it MUST work because the sawtooth also accepts up to 2GB!). The only damn thing is that i'll go on next sunday in holidays for 2 weeks, so I have to wait even longer damn holidays. |

Oh no - I meant of course not only one of those. Get three. If you succeed with 2 GB I would like to know how this should work...

QUOTE(tallturtle @ Dec 17 2003, 12:15 PM) If you succeed with 2 GB I would like to know how this should work... The Cube has the same logicboard as the Sawtooth, right? And in the Apple spec sheets is written, that the Sawtooth is able of handling up to 2GB, either in 4x 512MB or i 2x 1GB DIMMs. So 1x 1GB and 2x 512MB shouldnt be a problem (except the price |

I don't know of a 1GB PC100 sdram. Do they exist? Cube only has three slots so I thought 1.5 GB was the most it will take

Time to go do some research. Hopefully by then Laurie will have weighed in on whether the board can even handle a stick that big. :happy -------------------- |
