Can you try letting the energy saver having it sleep and not just Sleep under the Apple? Ok, just tested it and there are no issues went to sleep waited untill HD spin down and my cube woke up without problems. Seems to be stable. -------------------- "A super fast, super quiet super computer in an 8 inch cube"

Great news; I have good memory on the way and should be able to report results soon. I can already report that
On PC100-322 things are rock stable On PC133-333 (good quality) some instabilities On PC133-333 (cheap) terrible instabilities while a stock cube was rock stable on any of this memory. I wish I could reprogram the PC100 speed settings; I know it can be done, DIMMFirstAid reprograms troubled memory. This post has been edited by CubeIt: Mar 14 2008, 07:11 PM |

I'll post my questions on the correct thread. -------------------- "A super fast, super quiet super computer in an 8 inch cube"

I just got the 512MB PC133-222 stick (no expense spared), and so far thing seem very stable although it is reported as PC100-322. I am delighted to have a stable Mac again.

Same desire here - the 450 is a bit slow... any GigaDesigns G4/1.4GHz/2MB for the CUBE or other speeder-uppers out there?

Same desire here - the 450 is a bit slow... any GigaDesigns G4/1.4GHz/2MB for the CUBE or other speeder-uppers out there? B Several of us have them, but if I was looking for a Giga 7455b now, I would expect to have to buy a whole upgraded cube to get one. The Powerlogix 7447a 1.5 is a less expensive alternative that is still available at OWC for $214.99. -------------------- Pablo
Cube: Powerlogix 1.7 gHz 7448 with VRM bypass, 1.5 GB PC 133 Cl 2, ATI Radeon 9000 Pro Mac Edition ADC/DVI, Powerlogix Powercube (clear) with VRM relocation kit, Spirica cube VRM heatsink, 120 GB OWC Mercury 3G SSD with Pablo Sled, LG GS21N DVDRW, Giga Designs base fan, Airport card, Airport Express 802.11n as an ethernet bridge, Harman Kardon Soundsticks, Dual Apple 23" M8536 Cinema HD displays with Dr Bott DVIator, Elgato EyeTV 500, Apple iSight with Sightflex mount, Apple Pro keyboard and mouse, OSX Leopard 10.5.8. B Here is a tower model Gigadesigns 1.4GHz 7455b upgrade, three days left in the auction. The difference is mainly the heatsink, and it uses jumpers for voltage regulation instead of dipswitches. It could work by replacing the heatsink with the copper heat plate from the cube's original processor. The Giga cube model upgrade came with a heat plate somewhat larger than the original. -------------------- Pablo
